The Coalition for Health Care Now is an alliance or Michigan labor unions, medical, professionals, religious, and community organizations. Our members are working to demand a just and fair system of health care because the U.S. is the only industralied nation that allows 47 million of it's citizens to live without access to affordable health care.

We pay nearly twice as much for health care as our neighbors in Canada, but our outcomes are worse. Canadians live longer and have lower infant mortality rates. The World Health Organiation ranks the U.S. 37th overall in quality of health behind Costa Rica.

The U.S. must provide health care to all of its citizens, as every other industrial democracy does. That is why we are organizing to build public understanding and support for H.R. 676, the United States National Health Insurance Act (The Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act), introduced by Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich.
